If you like carbs, but don’t like cardio, do this instead

Earlier this week, I started a new experiment. As you may know, I’m trying to lose weight in the most sustainable way possible. As I’m 39 (going on 40), I can assure you: it’s not that easy anymore.

Calories in, calories out

By now, I already know that the most efficient way to lose weight is to eat less than I burn. In other words, the amount of calories you take in must be lower than the amount of calories going out.

Currently, there’s no cardio in my training plan. I’m focussing on losing weight in the kitchen. I’ll do cardio later.

This week I had the idea to give good ol’ OMAD a try again: get up in the morning, don’t eat. Skip lunch. Work, work out, and eat in the evening as much as you like (say in a 2-hour window). One Meal A Day is a great way to eat less calories and thus to lose weight.

But what if I told you that I have even better results if I skip the carbs?

More carbs, someone?

By now I’m quite certain that I thrive better without carbs, or at least with very few. I feel like my energy levels are higher and I can’t think clearer. And if I do eat carbs in the evening, it gives me that typical bloated feeling the day after, all day long. However, if I…
