7 tips to make your meditation session easy and comfortable
Meditation is a great way to deal with all kind of circumstances more easily. But the practice in itself can be hard.
For example: do you sometimes feel like you just don’t feel it? That you don’t get “in the zone”? Do you struggle to sit in the lotus position? Do you have a hard time sitting still for more than 15 minutes?
These hurdles might discourage you to start meditating.
So let’s get back to basics. Forget about “the rules” and let’s look at it from a pragmatic perspective.
Meditation, I believe, should help you become a calmer human. Worrying less, we are happier and healthier people.
Here are my tips for an effective but easy and comfortable meditation session.
1. Find a quiet place
Step one is to find a place where no one (including cats, dogs, potbellies or other domesticated friends) can disturb you. What you want is time for you. In my case, this is my home office and my phone is set into focus mode. Moreover, it’s set up so that only my girlfriend can reach me, and only on the second try.
